The FM radio application is not one of the most used Xiaomi mobile apps, far from it. For many it is just an app that they can uninstall at any time. However, for others it is a good source of entertainment and information since no data plan or WiFi is needed to listen to the different stations.

Although the company is still committed to including the application on its devices, there are numerous Xiaomi mobiles that do not have the pre-installed FM radio. How FM radio works on Xiaomi mobiles

The operation of the FM radio is quite simple, since you just have to open the app and start listening to the different stations. The app is located in the “Tools” folder on the main desktop. You can also locate it in the app drawer.

FM radio is activated automatically once you open the application. The interface is quite simple it only has three buttons to interact. A central button to see the list of available stations, and two directional arrows to switch between them.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi FM Radio app works for record your favorite radio programs. Also, from the options menu in the upper right corner, you can set a sleep timer, view all your recordings, and add your favorite station to the preset list.

If you want to extend the signal, you can plug your headphones into the 3.5mm jack port to act as an antenna. In the same way, if you want to turn off the radio, it is not enough to close the app, as it remains in the background. His thing is that they click on the off button, which is located in the upper left corner.

Today it is more common to listen to the radio in third-party applications that do require an Internet connection. Nevertheless, few devices have a built-in antenna that allows them to pick up radio programs without the need to use the data plan.

  • Redmi Note 10 Pro, Note 10S, Note 10 5G, Note 9 Pro Max, Note 9 Pro, Note 9S, Note 9T 5G, Note 9, Note 8 Pro, Note 8T, Note 8, Note 7, Note 6 Pro, Note 5 Pro Note 5.
  • Redmi 10, Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, Redmi 7, Redmi 7A, Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi S2.
  • POCO M4 Pro 5G, POCO M3 Pro 5G, POCO M3, POCO X3 NFC, POCO X3 Pro, Pocophone 1.

All the above mentioned devices they belong to the mid-range and input of Xiaomi. To listen to the radio on a higher-end mobile, it is necessary to have a third-party application that does require an Internet connection.
