Xiaomi activity bracelets are one of the brand’s best-selling wearables. Since the arrival of the first Xiaomi Mi Band more than seven years ago, the company has been passed down generation after generationand despite the fact that the design has not changed much, and neither has its low price, its specifications have.
With the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 already on the market, it’s time to think about a successor, and after several months of rumors, it seems that the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 is very close to being a reality, since it has received his first certification in South Korea and some images have appeared show what would be the next generation of company bracelets.
If the design works, why change it?
As we said, the Smart Band 7 arrived on the Spanish market in September 2022, and although it is a bit early to talk about its successor, the truth is that in China, that previous generation was presented in May, so it is very likely that Xiaomi already has the Smart Band 8 in its hands.
In fact, a Twitter user found some real pictures that would belong to the Xiaomi Smart Band 8, which has received its certification in South Korea, one of the steps to follow before it is going to be marketedand where we can just a few changes compared to its predecessor.
In the images we see that the design of the Smart Band 8 would inherit the strap system of the Smart Band 7 Pro, an operation similar to that of the Apple Watch, and also a new arrangement for sensors. Other than that, the general design of the Smart Band 8 would remain as the previous generation.

Regarding its specifications, nothing is mentioned other than a battery with a voltage of 3.8V and the Bluetooth version 5.1Although this data surprises us a bit, since both the Smart Band 7 and the Smart Band 7 Pro equipped Bluetooth 5.2, a faster version.
In any case, and in the absence of knowing more about Xiaomi’s future Smart Band 8, it is very likely that this version will bring many of the features brought by her sisterssuch as blood oxygen saturation meter, more than 100 sports modes and could even equip a GPSwhich did not make it to the standard version of the Smart Band 7.
Only in time will he tell us if this new activity bracelet will continue with the success that Xiaomi has achieved in this class of wearables, but everything indicates that its well-known design and improved specifications could continue the legacy of the Xiaomi Smart Bands.
