To bring a little freshness to your setup, you could start by changing the screen and it turns out that Lenovo has a few models under the elbow. With a go-anywhere physics and very good image quality, the Lenovo L27q-35 should suit you if you are looking for a QHD definition monitor. At Darty and Fnac, you can get your hands on it for 179.99 euros instead of a crossed out price of 249.99 euros.

If you are looking for a monitor dedicated to office automation, your criteria will be less demanding than for a gamer screen, but that does not mean that you can take anything. The refresh rate or the response time will not have any real importance here, but it will at least be necessary to ensure good image quality and acceptable ergonomics.

This Lenovo L27q-35 ticks the right boxes and it is currently displaying a discount of 70 euros at Fnac and Darty.

The Lenovo L27q-35 in brief

  • A 27-inch screen in QHD definition;
  • Good ergonomics;
  • A refresh rate of 75 Hz.

Estimated at 358.80 euros and usually sold at 249.99 euros, the Lenovo L27q-35 is now available on sale at 179.99 euros at Fnac and Darty.

A monitor in 2K definition

The Lenovo L27q-35 is a 27-inch screen (68.6 cm diagonal) in QHD definition (2560 x 1440 pixels) using VA as display technology. The VA emphasizes the contrast ratio which amounts to 4000:1 here, which gives a good rendering for a screen dedicated to office automation, in particular for photo and video editing or for watching films. The advertised brightness is 350 cd/m² and almost the entire sRGB spectrum is covered.

This monitor has a refresh rate of 75 Hz, we are far from the standards of a gaming screen so if you plan to play a few titles on it, avoid titles like FPS or MOBAs which require no downtime. Since the Lenovo L27q-35 is AMD FreeSync compatible, you can still play games without having to worry about graphics tearing, latency, or blurring. The response time amounts to 4 milliseconds, which is quite acceptable for this screen.

Discreet and practical, we don’t ask for more

On its other characteristics, the Lenovo L27q-35 relies on simplicity. For connectivity, we have here an HDMI 1.4 port, a DisplayPort 1.2 port and a 3.5 mm jack port. The frame with fine edges around the screen makes the display even more pleasant and has the merit of being without frills, it will easily find its place on your desk where it will be discreet. It also houses two speakers with a power of 3 W each, it is not huge but it is not an important criterion when choosing a PC screen.

As for ergonomics, the Lenovo L27q-35 can be tilted front to back to best suit your viewing comfort and has a cable management system to avoid having wires lying all over your desk. Finally, for the nice little touch, this monitor has a support on which you can put your smartphone upright on the base.
