The Titanic starred in one of the most famous shipwrecks in history in 1912. Spurred on by the film released to the public in the nineties, we find ourselves before one of the events that changed the way of understanding the construction of maritime vessels. Since its sinking, several are the expeditions that have been carried out to be able to get pictures of your cover. In order to carry out explorations, robots equipped with powerful cameras and lights have been used, as well as equipment created ad hoc for the occasion.

Thanks to obtaining all the photographic material, it has now been possible to create a 3D model in order to discover the situation of what, in its day, was considered the largest ship in the world. More than a century has passed since the event that killed several thousand people, and yet the Titanic remains one of the most majestic ships that the human being has built. A recently produced replica allows us to show what state it is in after all this time under water.

Let’s see, therefore, What are the characteristics of this curious model? in 3D, why it perfectly reflects the formation that is currently present after its deposit on the seabed and, of course, to what extent we are facing a representation that allows us to understand what actually happened more than 110 years ago. years. Taking into account that a large collection of photographic media has been used, the result is most spectacular.

This is the model that allows us to understand what state the Titanic is in now

In order to understand the origin of this model, it is necessary to go back a few months. During the past summer, a team of professionals from the company Magellan Ltd, founded for the mapping of deep waters, was carrying out reconnaissance work on the ship. A total of 6 weeks were used, which allowed obtaining a large photographic gallery of the ship’s hull. In the same way, explorations of the interior were carried out thanks to the work of high-value equipment.

It is also worth noting the participation of the entertainment company Atlantic Productions, which is putting together a documentary about that experience. As a result of these immersions, a whopping 700,000 images were captured, which have allowed to create this work of art with all kinds of detail. The possibility of having multiple angles of the boat is what has made possible a representation as reliable as possible.

In connection with the sinking of the Titanic, it is important to note that the ship, during the sinking, split into 2 halves. Therefore, there is a separation of up to 800 meters between both parts of the hull. This, as is logical, makes each of the expeditions difficult. In this particular case, the intervention of special submarines was required to cover the entire outer part of the ship for a total of 200 hours of dives.

To see the documentary in question we will still have to wait a while. However, the appreciation of details offered by this model can serve as an appetizer. The remains were discovered in 1985.Various projects have been carried out to find out what really happened. It is known that the consequence of the sinking was a collision with an iceberg, but the truth is that, due to the damage that occurs after the impact against the seabed, the exact place where the contact occurred is not known.
