Probably the most useless but coolest accessory in the world
Why wear your Apple Watch on your wrist when you can carry it… in your pocket? One manufacturer has designed a curious (and elegant, admittedly) Apple Watch case that transforms the watch into a classic iPod nano. Why? Well… why not? Its name is TinyPod and It costs $79.99.
The TinyPod is a very interestingly designed accessory that includes an iPod-like wheel to control the Apple Watch interface. The marketing strategy, advertising and website design are a real delight. In true Apple style.

TinyPod: a silicone case for the Apple Watch
The TinyPod’s wheel, clearly inspired by Apple’s iPod, moves a series of mechanisms inside the case that are responsible for moving the Apple Watch’s Digital Crown.
The TinyPod promotional video is a cross between the “Say Hello to iMac” TV commercials and the commercials for early iPod models.
Leaving aside whether or not it actually is a necessary accessory for the Apple Watch… The TinyPod comes in three dimensions of 41/40 mm, 45/44 mm, and 49 mm that are specifically designed for each Apple Watch model, including the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
There is also a TinyPod Lite version available for $29.99 that does not have the iPod wheel.
And what advantages can there be to wearing the Apple Watch on your hand instead of on your wrist? Well, not many, actually. It’s true that it can be more comfortable when interacting with the watch screen and that it prevents your arm from getting tired if you keep your wrist raised for a long time. But otherwise, it’s not the most essential accessory of the 21st century.
