Many non-computer related brands have made an effort to “associate” with this segment and more specifically, with gaming. Some of these examples would be Monster or Red Bull, who have sponsored eSports events, among others. Well, the familiar marking of beers dutch Heinekenhas launched a new fridge that not only cools beer, too the pc.
It is not uncommon for traditional brands not related to gaming to seek to enter the gaming segment. The clothing brand Balenciaga has released Fortnite merchandise. In addition, an in-game skin was released with this merchandising.
The video game industry moves billions annually and that is seen by the brands. Times change and most brands no longer live on television advertising or major sporting events. To reach certain audiences you have to open your mind.
This is the Heineken fridge-computer
Without a doubt, this is the perfect computer tower and one that, if discovered, Illojuan would buy. The heineken brand has created a refrigerator that not only cools the beer (or other drinks) also our computer. It seems to have two separate areas, one for drinks and one for gaming equipment.
This product has been presented by the brand with the name of Campaign of “not all rounds are available«. The idea of this action is to approach the universe of video games.
This project is a collaboration between Heineken and the creative teams of Le Pub Sao Paulo and Le Pub Milao. They have contracted with the support of LeGarage and the production of Monogrid. We have a project that combines a heatsink for the processor with a beverage cooling system.
Igor de Castro, senior marketing manager for Heineken 0.0 in Brazil, comments: “This is a step forward in the ‘Not all rounds are outside’ campaign, reinforcing the intersection between play and coexistence. We are happy to bring this experience to our audience.”
The pity is that we have not seen how are you built this project, although you can intuit a lot. By design, we assume that the components they are in the Upper area, on top of the beers. It is unknown what computer it hides, but we imagine that it will not be an entry-level computer.
Unfortunately, this computer can not be acquired nowhere. The Gaming Fridge will raffle, we imagine, among the Brazilian public. It is expected that in the next few days everything related to the draw will be announced.
Modding, that great misunderstood
I have to say that over the years I have seen dozens of crazy projects. The truth is that this idea of Heineken is not entirely new, since there have been some similar mods. In the end, from what I sense, they have installed a computer on the fridge, without much else.
As I intuit, it will have a liquid cooling system whose heatsink will be inside a division independent. I imagine that it will have an insulated cold air intake, since the heat generated by the PC would affect the cooling of the beer. Possibly, when the draw is launched, we will know more about the design.
