The second season of ‘House of the Dragon’ is sweeping
‘House of the Dragon’ is currently one of the best series that we can watch on the main streaming platforms. Being able to enjoy the origins that surround House Targaryen Hundreds of years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones’ It is a true marvel and, although it has no rival, there are other series that can come close.
A few months ago I was writing about the only series capable of dethroning the legendary ‘Game of Thrones’ with ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ but On Apple TV+ we can also find some series that can compete with ‘House of the Dragon’.

If you think of a series that can rival ‘House of the Dragon’ you won’t find it right now. Yes, ‘The Acolyte’ has landed very well among Star Wars fans, ‘Shogun’ can sweep the Emmy Awards and the fourth season of ‘The Boys’ comes close in terms of popularity. But what can we find on Apple TV+ with that level of production?
If you don’t know what else to watch when you finish the end of the second season of ‘House of the Dragon’ you can do two things: wait for the second season of ‘Separation’ which is one of the most intriguing series on Apple TV+ or give ‘Foundation’ a chance, one of the biggest productions on the platform.
‘Foundation’ is a science fiction series capable of matching the majestic narrative of ‘Dune’ and it does so with its own story. A fast-paced story that keeps you hooked from beginning to end and that teleports you to other worlds (literally) similar to how ‘House of the Dragon’ does it but with a completely different setting.
While ‘House of the Dragon’ immerses us fully in an ancient time where dragons exist, ‘Foundation’ takes us to the future in a parallel reality where humanity has colonized dozens of planets.

‘Foundation’ narra The Fall of the Galactic Empire And no, it is not an Empire as corrosive as the one in Star Wars, but it is ruled by a tyrant. Or rather, by three tyrants. The three Cleons. Three versions of different ages created from Cleon I.
The mission of “The Foundation” is to guide a group of exiles to rebuild civilization after the fall of the Galactic Empire.
It is a series based on the science fiction books of Isaac Asimov and it is probably the only Apple TV+ series capable of approaching the great production quality of ‘House of the Dragon’ through very good narrative, high-level costumes, crazy special effects and majestic performances.
On another note, it is interesting to note that three new ones are already on the way. spinoffs from ‘Game of Thrones’ with ‘Nine Voyages’a prequel to ‘House of the Dragon’; ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Errant Knight’which will follow Sir Duncan the Tall and Aegon V Targaryen and a spinoff by Jon SnowSo don’t worry, there will be ‘Game of Thrones’ for a while.
