The Competition Format
The Kingdom Cup will be based on a simple idea: the four highest ranked teams in the first two splits of both the Kings and Queens leagues will get a direct pass to the quarterfinals. These teams will be decided based on the points accumulated throughout the previous tournaments and splits.
If the score works with a simple sum between the Kings and the Queens League, those teams will be the following:
- Pigs
- Annihilators
- Ultimate Mostoles
- The neighborhood
The remaining teams will have the opportunity to compete in a series of clashes to secure their place in the quarterfinals final: the fifth classified is expected to face the twelfth, the sixth against the eleventh and so on.
The playoffs will be two-legged (like the Copa del Rey… or the Champions League), and in each series, one match will be played by the men’s team and the other by the women’s team. This particularity will allow both sexes to actively participate in the competition.
Thus, it would be expected that the weekend of November 18 to 19 the Final Four will take place of this tournament.
