For some time now, both Movistar and DAZN have been the main entities that distribute the broadcast of all football in Spain. As far as DAZN is concerned, its users already faced a considerable price increase at the beginning of the year. However, the company has just delivered another unpleasant surprise for its customers. raising all your price plans again.
Both DAZN Total and Essential customers will see their rates increased with immediate effect. The new prices already appear on its official website, so anyone who wants to continue enjoying football and Formula 1 from DAZN will have to go through the hoop again.
A considerable raise for your clients
Specifically, if we want to watch football or settle for the Essential plan, we will still have to pay more to continue using DAZN. The increase in the monthly Total plan has grown to 33%, while the Essential plan has increased its prices by up to 60%, depending on whether we choose the monthly, fractional annual or annual modality in advance. Below these lines we leave you with the prices:
Total DAZN:
- Monthly: €39.99/month without permanence, instead of €29.99/month.
- Annual (partial payment): €29.99/month (with a 12-month stay), instead of €24.99/month.
- Annual (one time payment): €349.99/year (€29.16/month), instead of €299.99/year (€24.99/month).
DAZN Essential:
- Monthly: €29.99/month without permanence, instead of €19.99/month.
- Annual (partial payment): €19.99/month (with a 12-month stay), instead of €12.99/month.
- Annual (one time payment): €239.99/year (€19.99/month), instead of €149.99/year (€12.49/month).
As can be seen, the rise is considerable, although the most affected are the plans without permanence. In this way, DAZN wants to encourage the purchase of its annual plans, either in the form of an annual payment in installments or in advance.
DAZN customers keep getting bad news. This rise has come after the elimination of shared accounts and the obstacles that the company puts to cancel the subscription.
Nor should we forget that said price increase comes after the fine of five million euros that the CNMC imposed on Telefónica for the agreement with DAZN for the broadcast of Formula 1. Unfortunately, almost all streaming platforms are raising their prices. However, the position that DAZN has taken in this regard is not liking its customers at all.
