This is what you can do to “activate” WhatsApp Christmas mode

Some people consider that Christmas begins with El gordo. Others, with the lighting of Vigo lights, or failing that, of that ostentatious-light competition in the streets of their city. Be that as it may, Christmas is palpable in the atmosphere and if you have already let yourself be carried away by the Christmas spirit, perhaps you have considered tuning up the most popular messaging application mainstream. The process to activate this “Christmas mode” of WhatsApp simply consists of customizing the interface and user experience using both the options offered by the application itself and complementary applications with the aim of give a Christmas touch to your liking. How to tune your WhatsApp for Christmas

The first thing we can do is change the background of your conversations. In Setting (iOS) / Settings (Android) > chat, you can change the wallpaper. Once inside, you can either choose between the WhatsApp backgrounds or choose from your gallery one that you like. If you do not want to complicate, in Solid Colors you can choose red, gold or green. If you don’t settle for that, you can also download a wallpaper that you like. We, for example, have gone to the Unsplash image bank for free use and downloaded this image.

You can too change profile picture. Take advantage of any of those photos that you have with an ugly Christmas sweater, with your family and friends or with your pet dressed for the occasion.

Since we are at Christmas, why not expand our stickers section with a selection for the occasion. Open any chat and click on the stickers icon. When you are inside, click on the “+”. There you will see the ones that come by default and the ones you have installed, scroll to the bottom, where you will find the option “Discover sticker applications” (iOS) / “Get more stickers” (Android).

You will arrive directly at the application store with the WAStickerApps search, which are the applications compatible with WhatsApp to install more stickers. You can now send your emotions via a Christmas icon.
