Once after winning the trust, these thugs give the link of Telegram channel to the people in their guise and ask them to fill the details of the bank account. After this the whole game starts. People are shown the details of their fake accounts in which money is visible but in reality their accounts are getting empty.
What happened to the Pune engineer?
According to the report, a software engineer from Pune received a message talking about a part time job after liking a YouTube video. The incident took place between May 4 and 8. First, the thugs sent some money to the victim’s account and then gave pre-paid tasks to earn more, after which the thugs demanded money from the victim. Later, when the victim tried to transfer the money, he was told that For this, some security amount has to be deposited. In these four days, a total of Rs 15.9 lakh was cheated from the engineer. After losing so much money, the victim felt that he had been cheated. A complaint has been lodged with the police in this regard and the matter is being investigated.

It would be better to block the number from which such messages are coming. If by mistake you fall in this trap and initially some money comes in your account then don’t go ahead and block the number. In case of any kind of problem, immediately report it to the police.
