The Tricolore MX is an electric mountain bike designed by the Italian manufacturer Moto Parilla. This model stands out with its aggressive and singular look, but also with its high-end technical data sheet which makes it suitable for extreme uses.
If there is one thing that can be attributed to Moto Parilla, it is its ability to create original two-wheelers. The Tricolore MX electric bike clearly belongs to this category, which was recently presented by the transalpine firm. And the least we can say is that it surprises and detonates at first sight.
Its aggressive lines are combined with a less conventional design philosophy than usual. Some of its components even give the impression of floating in the air. It took more than two years of work to imagine and design this behemoth on legs, we learn eBike News.
A contained weight for an electric mountain bike
Moto Parilla has gone all out to compose an ultra high-end technical sheet. For starters, the monocoque frame is made of carbon, as is the seat post. Carbon has interesting properties relating to weight and strength. Perfect for the extreme terrain the Tricolore MX is intended for.
Despite its imposing appearance, this electric mountain bike does not claim an excessive weight: 20.8 kg, which places it in a relatively low average compared to other mountain bikes. It is also based on a Polini E-P3+ MX central motor with 600 W of peak power, but also an enormous torque of 90 Nm.

This configuration promises excellent performance on paper, both in terms of acceleration and recovery. Obviously, this electric beast opts for a torque sensor capable of transmitting electric assistance that is proportional to the force you put into the pedals.
This type of sensor provides dynamic, responsive and natural behavior. Conversely the rotation sensor, which is generally found on entry-level e-bikes. For its part, the 880 Wh battery offers a very generous range of 100 km. Everything is associated with a 12-speed SRAM XX1 electronic transmission.
Electric mountain biking obliges, several suspension systems are in the game: at the front, you have to rely on an inverted fork, against a Fox Float X Kashima rear shock absorber. A 100mm travel dropper post is also on the menu. You also have to rely on BCA Performance hydraulic disc brakes.
Finally, a 2.5-inch LCD screen completes the whole thing alongside a compartment integrated into the frame and capable of accommodating a care kit, for example, as shown by Moto Parilla in the photo. The media eBike News specifies that this behavior is both waterproof and lockable.
At the time of writing, neither the release date nor the price is known. But with such characteristics, it would not be surprising if the Tricolore MX easily exceeded 6000 euros, or even more. A form allows you to contact the manufacturer to request more details about him. Two other versions are part of the offer.
