Smartphone manufacturers are waging a real war to find out which device charges the fastest, and the crown could soon go to a still unknown manufacturer in France.

Last summer, Vivo shook up the market by presenting the first Android smartphone with 200W fast charging, the iQOO 10 Pro. Xiaomi had quickly caught up at the end of the year by presenting its Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition, capable of recharging at a maximum power of 210W.

If this already seems like a lot to you, know thata smartphone recently just pushed the bar even higher : the Realme GT Neo 5. Indeed, the latter can reach 240 W, which allows its 4600 battery to recharge in less than 10 minutes. It seems that this record will not stay there for long, since another manufacturer is about to do better.

The battery will be compatible with a maximum power of 260W

The new device is neither part of Xiaomi’s catalog nor that of any of the other major Android smartphone manufacturers. The device that will manage to reach 260W for recharging will be none other than the GT 10 Pro, from Infinix. Even better, it would even peak at 110W wirelessly.

If this company is starting to make its mark in Asia, it is still very little known in France. Still, sometimes it’s the first to bring technology to the smartphone market, like here with the fastest charging ever on a phone.

In terms of technical characteristics, we can expect a processor MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and a 5000 mAh battery, but also to a 6.8 inch curved screen with refresh rate 120Hz and one 200 MP main photo sensor.

It remains to be seen when this smartphone will officially hit the market, but the launch should take place within just a few days. Unfortunately, it will not be available in France. We know that other manufacturers like Xiaomi are already waiting around the corner, the Chinese manufacturer having recently unveiled a 300W charging technology. The latter can recharge a battery in just 5 minutes.
