Digi Yatra is specially designed to provide paperless and hassle free travel experience to the commuters. This mobile app works on face recognition technology. It features facial recognition for passengers and enables self-bag drop and check-in. However, to use this facility, passengers will have to create a Digi Yatra ID. It is currently being launched for domestic flight passengers. If you want to get Digi Yatra ID then you can get an ID by sharing minimum details like name, e-mail id, mobile number and an identity proof details. Aadhaar ID is not mandatory to take it. Passengers will have to share their Digi Yatra ID while booking tickets. Thereafter, airlines will share passenger data and DigiYatra ID with the departure airport
Tech News Desk – To overcome the hassle of air travel, the government has started paperless entry at select airports from 1 December 2022. Now airports will use facial recognition software called “Digi Yatra” for entry. With this, passengers will not need to carry their ID card and boarding pass for entry at the airport. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launched Digi Yatra in the national capital today. Let us know about it in detail. It is reported that in the first phase Digi Yatra will be started at seven airports. Today, it has been launched in three airports – Delhi, Bengaluru and Varanasi. After this, by March 2023, it will be launched at four airports namely Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune and Vijayawada. After this this technique will be implemented in the whole country.
