When a user tweeted on Sunday that a whole bunch of people’s accounts that, as far as I know, typically do nothing but tweet memes and positivity were being suspended, Musk replied, Spam. The team was a bit overzealous about the /bot suspension. Now I am in chill mode. Many users expressed their views on Musk’s post. While one user commented, It’s an honor to be called a bot by you. Lol, said another, chill mode: on. Last week, Musk had said that the micro-blogging platform has started removing a lot of spam and scam accounts, so users may see a drop in their follower count. Prior to the Twitter acquisition, Musk had claimed in April this year that he would try to defeat or eliminate spam bots on the micro-blogging platform.
