Apple’s Find app has turned out to be very useful in something it wasn’t designed for: warfare.
The Ukrainians are using the well-known Apple Find app for locate Russian troops and report their location in real time. After Russian soldiers stole Apple devices during the invasion, Ukrainian owners of those devices can see and report in real time where Russian troops are going.
Within a military invasion there are numerous deaths, destruction and looting, and one of them is related to Apple devices. It seems that Russian troops have taken their particular “spoils of war” and in it include many some coveted Apple devices. Among them we have AirPods that Ukrainian owners are using to locate Russian troops.

The Find app is one of Apple’s best inventions, allows you to locate your lost devices even if they are offline by placing them on the map. Even some AirPods like the ones in this case can be located despite not having an internet connection.
When we put an Apple device in lost mode, this uses other Apple devices that are nearby to send your location. A great way to locate them when you lose or steal them, which has also proven to be very useful for locating enemies.
The search app had helped the police and car theft on many occasions, but had never been directly involved in a war. Without a doubt, his functions never cease to amaze us.
