One of the problems that we usually find when we get a new television is related to sound. For a simple matter of space, having a flat TV makes the space available to place a speaker tiny and therefore this affects the quality and volume of the sound that we can obtain. But we can solve it for very little money… pay attention.
Improving the audio that we have on a Smart TV is possible if, for example, we get a sound bar or a home theater system. But if you want to save some money, a pretty interesting option, go for an Amazon Fire TV Stick and an Echo Dot (or two if you want a stereo pair). In this way, for very little money, you can improve the sound coming out of your tvsomething that some relatives have already applied at home.
Better sound and easy to place
It is not the first time that acquaintances and relatives have complained about the volume of their television or the bad sound it offers. There are adjustments that can be made in the audio settings but beware, they will not achieve miracles. So they almost always ask me about how I value buying a new television. And in this sense, and depending on the use that they usually give it, my answer is almost always the same: use Fire TV plus Echo Dot combo.
And it is that it is a quite interesting option, since this combination allows add an Echo speaker to a Fire TV deviceso that the audio can also come out of the speaker and without using cables.
An advantage that can come in handy especially for those users who have one of the models with the highest audio quality such as the Echo Studio or the Echo, although for value for money I always recommend the Echo Dot.
In this way, it is enough to connect the Fire TV to the HDMI port of the TV, and once we have configured it, sync the audio to come out of the Echo speaker on duty instead of through the TV speaker. In this way we achieve a higher quality sound.
In addition, and given the small size of the Amazon speakers, we can easily place them in almost any position and place. We can even place them on the wall, since we already find supports on the market that allow it.
When using the Fire TV and the Echo Dot together to get the sound, the only thing to keep in mind is that both devices must be under the same Wi-Fi network. Starting from this base, we are going to configure everything using the Alexa application that we can download from both the App Store and the Google Play Store.
On the initial screen we look for the section “Echo Devices” in the upper part of the left and as we saw before, in the new screen we look for Fire Stick that we are going to use. In this case it is the one that appears with the title “Jose’s Fire Stick”. We just have to click on it.
We will then see a list with all the Fire TV settings and we look at the first one, the one that corresponds to the speaker and click on “Change”. In the new window we must click on “Select a preferred speaker” and that is where we are going to choose the “Echo Dot” that we want to use.
In my case, I have chosen to use the Echo Dot as a speaker associated with the Fire TV. It only remains to click on “Keep” and from now on, when we use the Fire TV, the sound will come out of the Echo or the connected Echo speakers (we can set up a stereo or a “home theater” system) instead of the TV speakers.
