Waze is integrated into cars with Android Automotive

Google offers vehicle manufacturers two ways to bring apps to the car screen. On the one hand we have Android Auto, an application in which our mobile phones project a new interface with its compatible apps, and on the other hand, we have Android Automotive, a complete operating system for cars where we do install applications so as not to depend on the mobile.

Waze for Android Automotive

The version of Waze for Android Automotive, or for vehicles with integrated Google (Google built in) arrives today on select Renault vehicles. In Europe, integration is available for drivers of new electric vehicles Renault Austral Hybrid Y Renault Megane E-Tech.

Waze’s new dedicated application for Android Automotive offers the same experience as its mobile application but enhanced thanks to its large screen and in-car integration. Drivers will be able to see routes and Waze’s famous real-time alerts on the in-car screen. It will no longer be necessary to connect the mobile to the car.

To download the new app Waze in a car with integrated Google, all you have to do is go to the Google play of the Renault vehicle or download it from the application My Renault. Throughout 2023 Waze for Android Automotive will reach more manufacturers and models.
