There are a lot of components coming out in the next few years that we’re really looking forward to trying out, and it’s only natural that even if we don’t like a company that much, we’ll still want to check out whether their new products are really what they claim to be. Intel For many years now, they have been advertising their processors as the best in the world, something that has led them to overestimate their own products, so we will see if this time, the launch of the new ones Core Ultra 200 arrives with the news that they have announced.
With the latest official statement from Intel, we now have practically complete the launch schedule that the major technology companies around the world have proposed, since with practically four months to go until the end of the year, we already know many of the products that were destined for 2024. Although there are still a few more to come out, and in the case of Intel we still have to know when they will launch the models based on the Arrow Lake architecture.
The Core Ultra 200 is just around the corner
When we first saw the announcement of Intel about they new processors for laptops, Specifically geared toward delivering great AI performance, we saw them launching in the final months of the year, and this time we know exactly when they’ll be arriving. They’re closer than we think, as Intel has indicated that the date on which they’ll fully reveal these new CPUs to the public will be in September, specifically on the 3rd of this month, during a special presentation with Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Intel’s executive vice president and general manager of the Client Computing Group, and Jim Johnson, senior vice president and general manager of the Client Business Group.
This presentation will come three days before the IFA 2024 conference, and they will present all the new features that these new processors bring, such as the energy efficiency that these chips have, since according to what they indicate from Intel, This is one of the key aspects that this new generation will bring. Although the performance apparently does not fall short either, mainly because the company is very confident that this development is one of the best they have had in recent years, although to verify this we will have to see if it is true or not when they come to market.
As we well know, these CPUs will arrive in several variants, as always, some high-end ones for higher-performance laptops and others in a lower range for those with a much tighter budget. This generation brings a large number of chips, and we expect nine SKUs to be presented during the event: Core Ultra 9 288V, Core Ultra 7 268V, Core Ultra 7 266V, Core Ultra 7 258V, Core Ultra 7 256V, Core Ultra 5 238V, Core Ultra 5 236V, Core Ultra 5 228V and Core Ultra 5 226V.
There is still more than a month to go before we know all the details of the launch, since this is ultimately the presentation, but they are probably planning to use a strategy similar to AMD’s, presenting the processors between two weeks and a month before they are officially released to the market.
