Knowing which operator has the best network in Spain is not easy, since it depends on many factors. The area in which we live, the number of mobile phones connected to those antennas and even the range of the mobile terminal we use can cause us to have one performance or another. Therefore, we have no choice but to trust the companies that carry out measurements of this type. In this case, we already know which is the best in Spain for the eighth year according to umlaut consolidating the results with respect to the previous year.
According to the independent report umlaut Mobile Benchmark Spain 2024 Conducted by umlaut, a global consulting company and world leader in mobile network testing and benchmarking, Vodafone’s mobile network is once again the best in Spain for the eighth consecutive year.
To do this, a series of tests have been carried out that the company itself explains. Broadly speaking, they combine both driving tests and walking tests to perform detailed voice and data measurements. Those in this report have been carried outFrom January 20 to February 6, 2024. In total, four cars have traveled 11,490 kilometers in 20 large cities and 23 smaller cities. To this we add 7 cities covered on foot.
Vodafone takes advantage of the results
Vodafone has just communicated the results in which it has obtained a score of 897 out of 1000 (+29 points). According to the operator itself, this improvement has been driven by its extensive deployment of 4G and 5G coverage. The reds have had good results in all categories, “highlighting the excellent values in the voice service and the reliability of the service, both voice and data.”
The operator recently acquired by Zegona is a leader in voice tests in large cities and reaches 96% of satisfactory calls in driving tests and 99% of satisfactory calls in the walking tests. As if that were not enough, it also leads voice tests in smaller towns and has achieved the highest ratings in voice calls made on highways.
The report speaks volumes that “Voice service (VoLTE) stands out for its exceptional sound clarity and its outstanding ability to successfully complete calls.” This is a service they currently enjoy more than 80% of the operator’s clients and that is vital for the future shutdown of 2G and 3G networks.
