The most classic method to clean the air fryer drawer is to take it to the sink, but that implies that we will spend a lot of water. Unless we are really crafty and manage to reduce consumption. Another method goes through put the fryer drawer in the dishwasher along with the rest of the plates, glasses, glasses and cutlery.
They are widely used methods and they work well, but we know of another that is much more efficient and faster. And above all, much cheaper. This method consists of taking advantage of the air fryer itself to our benefit. make her clean herself, as if it were a pyrolytic oven that does not give us headaches. To clean the fryer with this method we will only have to fill the drawer with a little water. It will be enough that the water is a little above the grid, that it is slightly covered. It will not be necessary for us to fill it completely, nor is it about throwing water at these times when it is so needed. Once we have done this, we add a splash of the soap that we use to wash the dishes, regardless of the brand, and activate the Air Fryer. 5 minutes at 200 degrees is more than enough.
Remember:
- Cover the rack with water (just enough).
- Add a little soap for the dishwasher
- We turn on the Air Fryer at 200 degrees for 5 minutes
- We drain.
Once you’re done, you empty the drawer into the sink and you just have to dry it. And if you want a quick drying, put the Air Fryer for 1 minute at 200 degrees and that’s it, dry. Another quick cleanup method is to pour two tablespoons of baking soda and a splash of vinegar in the drawer, and when it stops bubbling add some hot water and then drain. This method is somewhat more complex and, honestly, we have not tested it. But we leave it there in case it works for you.
