There has been time at the Google I/O for the version of Android for smartwatches: Wear OS. The system received one of its biggest changes in its latest Wear OS 3 update a couple of years ago, and while it’s still on a handful of watches today, the next version is already on the agenda: Wear OS 4.
Google has announced Wear OS 4 in the form of a preview during this Google I/O and interspersed with other platform news that should also arrive in the previous version: Gmail and Calendar, WhatsApp and new Spotify tilesamong other.
Calendar, Gmail and WhatsApp
Several novelties are coming on the way to Wear OS. It will be possible to see who has called the bell and unlock the door from the new home controls of Google Home, with compatible Nest devices.
