The Apple’s accessibility options are the most complete that we find in the market, and they hide many interesting tricks both for users who need them and for others. In this case we are talking about Active corners, a function that allows us to quickly execute endless actions.
What are Hot Corners
Active corners are a kind of shortcut that allows us to access certain places in the system, start applications or activate shortcuts. To activate this shortcut, we simply have to keep the cursor in one of the corners of the iPhone or iPad.
It is a function, therefore, that is available when we connect a mouse or trackpad to the iPhone or iPad. It is fully customizable and we can link each corner of the device to a certain action. It is a very interesting accessibility feature that we can all take advantage of.

How to activate Hot Corners
Active Corners are a feature available on iOS and iPadOS, so we can activate and customize them from the settings of our iPhone or iPad. To do so, simply follow these steps:
- Go into Settings and then in Accessibility.
- Within the Physical and motor skills section, enter Play.
- Now go into AssistiveTouch.
- Activate AssistiveTouch.
- Low and active Dwell Control.
- Tap on Active corners, and assigns a function to each corner.
- In the AssistiveTouch menu, under Active Corners, you can set time What do you want to happen before they activate.
How to use Active Corners
Once you have configured each corner and the time it takes for them to activate, use is quite simple. The first thing is to connect a mouse or keyboard to your device, and then you simply have to bring the circular pointer to one of the corners.
You will see how in the corner a large quarter circle appears with a white line that stipulates the time that must elapse until the action we have set is executed. Once that time passes, the action will be executed. It is quite simple.
An interesting trick for iPhone and iPad that it can be very useful if you use a mouse or trackpad a lot. By setting the Hot Corners right, you can save a lot of time and improve productivity.
