If you care about updates, you probably want to know what situation your current smartphone is in. If you have a Samsung today we are going to answer some questions about Galaxy devices, Android 14 and One UI 6.0. Samsung update to Android 14 and One UI 6.0
It is early to talk about official versions or list of confirmed devices. What we can know, thanks to SamMobileis that Samsung has already excluded 14 Galaxy devices from the update list. The following Mobile phones will not see Android 14 or One UI 6.0 in the future.
- Samsung Galaxy S20
- Samsung Galaxy S20+
- Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy Note20
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy S20 FE
- Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite
- Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2
- Samsung Galaxy A71
- Samsung Galaxy A51
- Samsung Galaxy A32
- Samsung Galaxy A22
They are devices that currently have many active users around the world and that can last for a long time. Even so, they are not within the 4-year Android update policy, so they will be left without seeing Android 14.
More Samsung without Android 14
This list does not reflect all the Samsungs that run out of Android 14, only the most popular. The devices that we doubted and that were on the line are present, but there are many more.
All Samsung terminals that currently (March 2023) have a versions prior to Android 13 will also not receive Android 14. It does not matter if they are not on the list, they will not be able to update officially. This includes high-end, mid-range, and low-end.
No more Android, but more updates
Just because older Samsung devices don’t see more Android updates doesn’t mean they’re out of support. Samsung will continue to offer security patches and bug fixes for a time. If we listen to your script, all the devices on the list should have one more year of official support.
