New features brought by WhatsApp updates sometimes cause bugs to emerge. The latest made calls nearly impossible to make, both voice and video. A beta update finally fixes it.
If you are a WhatsApp user and fond of new features, you may be subscribed to the program to receive beta updates of the application. Thanks to it, you test new features added to instant messaging before anyone else. And they follow each other. Recently, WhatsApp allows you to talk to someone without adding their number first, or to quickly send short video messages to your friends.
But like all trial versions, betas can also cause bugs that are sometimes very annoying. Since the last two test updates, users report that it is almost impossible for them to make a call, both voice and video. In voice, the voice of the interlocutor becomes distorted and becomes inaudible. In video, despite a sufficient mobile network or Wi-Fi connection, the quality is too low for a proper conversation.
Latest WhatsApp beta makes voice and video calls possible again
Fortunately, beta testers didn’t have to wait very long before they could make calls again. The patch numbered 2.23.16.11 was rolled out to Android two days after the last faulty beta. This is not the first time that WhatsApp has been subject to a crippling bug like this. We remember that in June, clicking on a link to WhatsApp settings from a conversation caused the application to crash.

As a reminder, if all this does not scare you and you wish integrate the WhatsApp beta test program, go to the WhatsApp beta site from a web browser, click “Become a test” and follow the instructions. Depending on the number of registrants at the time you try your luck, the program may be closed. In this case, you just have to try later.
