WhatsApp gives more importance to the name you choose and adds a shortcut to free up space in its beta

When we register in WhatsApp we can choose a name, but the truth is that the application hardly uses it at all. Those who chat with us see in the app the name with which they have saved us in their contactsand those who do not have us in contacts will see our phone number (and the name we choose, in small, in our profile).

The exception is groups. In groups, our messages appear signed by our phone number and the name we have chosen for those people who do not have us in their contacts, but the truth is that our name appears small and what is most visible is the telephone number.

This is already changing in WhatsApp Beta for Android. Someone must have realized that having a string of digits as the sender of a message does not contribute much, so the data has been exchanged: the messages from those you do not have in the calendar appear signed by the name they chose when registering on WhatsApp, for example, ~manoletewith the phone number still visible, but tiny and gray.

Free up space based on temporary chats
