More than 72 lakh WhatsApp accounts banned in India
More than 72 lakh bad accounts records have been banned in India in the month of July in compliance of IT Rules 2021. Like every month, the Monthly Compliance Report for September has also been released. According to this report, WhatsApp accounts of 72 lakh Indian users have been banned in the month of July.
Report released from July 1 to July 31
As per the report WhatsApp banned over 72 lakh malicious WhatsApp accounts in India between July 1 and July 31, 2023. WhatsApp said that out of these 7,228,000 WhatsApp accounts, 3,108,000 were actively banned prior to any reports. An Indian account is identified through the +91 country code.
Received more than 11 thousand reports
The most popular messaging platform WhatsApp has more than 500 million users in India. According to WhatsApp, another record 11,067 complaint reports were received in India in July, and the “action” taken was 72. These accounts have been listed by the company under user complaints on the platform. Those who have appeared most frequently in the list of complaints with block or have been complained for any other reason are listed and banned by the company.
