Tech News Desk,WhatsApp is used all over the world including India today, but whenever we buy a new device, it becomes very difficult to login again with all the data. Till now, you can only do OTP verification through SMS to login, but what if your phone number is switched off or your phone is stolen? Keeping this in view, the company has now brought a great feature. Through which you can log in even without a number.
Let us tell you that this feature was earlier available in WhatsApp beta version, now it is available for all users. According to WABetaInfo report, WhatsApp for iOS has added email verification feature in version 23.24.70, which is now available on the App Store. If a user is having trouble accessing his WhatsApp account while he is somewhere without cellular coverage, he can now log in through SMS verification as well.
To add an email address to your account, open your profile, then tap the Account menu and finally Email Address. WhatsApp says the added email address is kept completely private and is only needed to access the account. However, the company says users still need an active phone number to use WhatsApp, as the email address is only used for verification.
Not only this, for some WhatsApp beta testers the company has also started providing a dedicated shortcut button for AI-powered chats. Initially introduced by Mark Zuckerberg, the feature is currently undergoing beta testing, giving some users a glimpse of the future of AI-powered chat interactions. The company may soon roll it out for everyone.
