Lately, WhatsApp engineers are working on new features for groups in the application, not only increasing the number of participants to 512, something unthinkable a long time ago, but also giving many more features to moderators and group creators.
And now regarding groups, WhatsApp is implementing the ability to view a list of previous participants within the group settingssomething that many people may consider to violate their privacy.
And it is that thanks to a new visible option within the group information, any member will be able to see the previous participants to browse, although luckily it will be limited to some participants who have left the group in a certain period of time.
As pointed out by wabetainfo, a new option has appeared at the end of the list of group participants that will allow us to discover those people who left or were expelled from the group in the last 60 daysbecause although it may be somewhat controversial for the privacy issue, it is limited to a certain time.
This new option has already been released for beta testers, and more and more testers will be testing it in the coming weeks, so it is not expected to reach the stable version in the short term, presumably in the last part of the year.
This will allow administrators to keep track of those people who have participated in a particular group and it is unknown if they will be able to invite them again from this section.
