Apple has updated its website offering more information about the release date of iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura.
Apple presented all its new operating systems last June at WWDC22. There we could see iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9 and macOS 13 ventura in action. However, for a week we can already enjoy iOS 16 and watchOS 9 on our iPhone and Apple Watch, but iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura have been delayed.
But now it’s official. Apple has finally unveiled when will iPadOS 16 and macOS 13 Ventura be released for iPad and Mac. More or less. According to the company’s official website, both software updates will arrive in “october”. And it is no coincidence that they have not confirmed an exact day.
No exact date until the October event
Apple has not confirmed the release day of iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura because it is most likely that these two updates come after the company’s October event. Just as iOS 16 and watchOS 9 came after the presentation event of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE,
This October event does not yet have a date, but we know that we will see new iPad and Mac models. takes place in the middle or end of October, and we’ll see the new updates to iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura the following Monday. Same strategy as with iOS 16 and watchOS 9.
If this is so, the most normal thing is that iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura are officially launched on October 17 or 24, but for that we will have to wait for Apple to make what could be the last event of the year official. An event in which, at least, we will see new iPad Pro and new MacBook Pro, possibly with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips.
Of the two systems, iPadOS 16 is the one that comes with the most improvements. The next iPad operating system arrives with the new multitasking Stage Managera dedicated Weather app and all the new features already present in iOS 16.
For its part, macOS Ventura also will feature Stage Manager multitaskingimprovements in many of the system apps and better support for games with Metal 3. A fairly continuous update.
We hope that in the coming weeks Apple confirms the date of its October event and we will be able to get an idea of when iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura will be officially released.
