Bloomberg News, citing some sources, reported that Apple Inc. is looking to launch its electric car in early 2025 and restart the project with full auto-driving capability. . Shares of the iPhone maker have risen nearly 3% to set a new record after the report.
The report says that Apple’s Idol electric car will not have a steering wheel and pedals, it has been designed internally for hands-off driving. This automotive effort of the company is known as Project Titan. The project is being worked on since 2014 when the company first started designing the vehicle from sketches.

Apple’s electric car may be launched by 2025
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said, “Apple is likely to launch its standalone car as high as 60% to 65% by 2025. The Bloomberg report said that some people working on the project were surprised about the timeline even with the recent progress, which includes the car’s inbuilt auto-driving system, processor chips and advanced sensors. However, Apple declined to comment on this report.
Reuters reported in December that Apple was targeting 2024 to produce a passenger vehicle that could incorporate its own developed battery technology. Meanwhile, the notification cited a memo that said Apple is preparing to bring employees back to the office from February 1 and will allow employees to work remotely for four weeks every year.
