Final stretch until the launch of the next Apple mobiles, the long-awaited iPhone 16. So far, we have received leaks little by little, trying to glimpse what the Cupertino firm will launch next fall: they will have very reduced bezels, the ‘Pro’ model will incorporate an extreme zoom and the ‘Pro Max’ will be larger than ever.
That’s not all, as the supposed battery that will alleviate the temperature problems suffered by the iPhone 15 was leaked. And not to mention the design, with an important novelty in the external section of the iPhone 16 Pro. Now, Forbes goes further with the release date: there may be less left than we thought.
This is the possible release date of the iPhone 16 series
The information they share in the media is not official, but it is based on certain reports from the production line from Apple, something that could shed some light on the question of when the next iPhone will be released. So far, some industry analysts have suggested Tuesday, September 10, as a good chance that it will be the day of the presentation.
However, the stakes are higher on the AI side, which is predicted to take place on this very day, as reported by Apple Insider. Other authoritative voices pointed to September 6, but this would conflict with the IFA 2024 in Berlin, which starts on the same day and continues for four more days until September 10.
Therefore, both the day 10 as september 12 could be good dates for Apple. September 9th, which is a Monday, has never been the case, and the Cupertino firm has never announced an iPhone at the beginning of the week, although it would not be far-fetched either.
Apple Insider’s Gallagher attempts to sketch out Apple’s next launch: “Human intelligence says Apple can launch whenever it wants, but in practice there are huge logistical issues around launching millions of iPhones. Apple knows how to do it, Apple has done it many times, so it’s likely to follow the same pattern again.”
This authoritative voice, discard an earlier date to the aforementioned, on Tuesday, September 3. The reason? Although it would be brought forward to IFA 2024, it is the day after Labor Day (Labor Dayin English), something that makes it impossible to move the press.
That said, linked back to Apple Insider, there is a possibility because at these events, the presentation videos are pre-recorded and pre-produced. Other indications from the industry point to Foxconn, a critical manufacturer for Apple: it has hired 50,000 new workersaccording to Business Korea. This would indicate that production has been accelerated just weeks before the launch.
In fact, the calendar is adjusted to the release date (non-presentation): Friday, September 20. According to information from MacRumors, which describes the influx of additional personnel at Foxconn, the factory is “now running at full capacity.” We have more information: mass production of OLED panels for the iPhone 16 has been accelerated according to ET News, which leaves us with two figures and two protagonists: Samsung will produce 80 million while LG will make 43 million.
This indicates that the production of the future iPhone 16 will as plannedmeaning no delays are expected. Therefore, the possible date for the keynote presentation remains Tuesday, September 10. We cannot rule out a change, as Apple is usually unpredictable. Although, of course, September 11 is not the best time to celebrate the arrival of new phones.
