MacBook Air M2: on which stores to buy it at the best price?
After the surprise announcement of the MacBook Air M2 at WWDC, it has been available since Friday July 15, 2022. If it is progressing on all fronts, its price has also increased. Two models are offered for sale, with different configurations.
The new base MacBook Air packs a version of the M2 chip that has an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU, all with 256GB of SSD storage. The second, more powerful version has an 8-core CPU, but a 10-core GPU for more graphics performance. Its SSD storage has a capacity of 512 GB.
The two models cost €1499 and €1849 respectively.. Apple offers 4 colors to choose from: silver, space gray, starlight and black (midnight).

What are the specs of the MacBook Air M2?
The MacBook Air M2 shows its differences at first glance. Its appearance evolves after having more or less stagnated since 2010. The base of the device is completely flat unlike the asymmetrical lines of the MacBook Air M1. The overall design thus appears more harmonious and is inspired by that of the latest MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inches. The 2022 MacBook Air is also 20% thinner.
Let’s come to the purely technical part. The device incorporates the new generation of ARM chips from the Cupertino company. Apple promises 18% more performance for the new MacBook compared to the M1 model and up to 15 times more power compared to older versions under Intel. Battery life goes up until 6 p.m..
The 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display displays a billion colors and is much brighter (500 nits versus 400 nits for the older version). For the connector part, the MacBook Air M2 has a MagSafe charging porta 3.5mm jack, and two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports that also charge the device.
