A fatal fate for some Ozark heroes?
During the first part of season 4, we could see the Byrde family put themselves at the service of the fearsome narco-trafficker Omar Navarro. The heroes make morally questionable decisions and must suffer the consequences. Many deaths are to be deplored and some disappearances are indeed very painful.
And precisely, a few days before the broadcast of this final, the producer of Ozark, Chris Mundy, broached the subject with our colleagues from Deadline. According to him, this is the moment of truth for many characters in the series:
The second half of the season is really all about active choices, do Marty and Wendy really want to stay together, do the kids really want to be part of this family… so it’s all about family, and about what they’re willing to do to try to stay together, and whether or not it’s a good decision.
In fact, if Charlotte and Jonah remain somewhat loyal to their parents, the tide could turn. But it is undoubtedly the fate of Ruth which will undoubtedly be the most interesting to observe. Tormented heroine to whom nothing is spared, she is somewhat reminiscent of the figure of Jesse Pinkman in breaking Bad.
