The latest Windows update seems to have made the taskbar disappear for many users. A very annoying problem, but which is fortunately very simple to correct. To do this, simply uninstall and reinstall the latest update. We’ll explain how to do it.
If there’s one thing you can’t take away from Microsoft, it’s its sense of irony. Almost every time, new Windows updates bring as many bugs as they fix. Certainly, this is a bit exaggerated, but it is not the users who have installed the latest update who will tell us otherwise. If, moreover, they managed to install it.
Because in addition to presenting some problems during installation for many users, it seems that they are not out of the woods once this step has been completed. According to several messages on Reddit, versions KB5034763 of Windows 10 and KB5034763 for Windows simply make the taskbar disappear. Not very practical for navigating your PC.

In theory, the bug has already been fixed by Microsoft. If you install the update today, you should have no apparent problems with your taskbar. But in the event that it has disappeared since yesterday, the solution remains to uninstall the update. Here’s how to do it: (even without the taskbar):
- Open them Settings from Windows with the keyboard shortcut Windows + I
- Click on Update and security
- Then go to View update history
- Click on Uninstall updates
- In the window that opens, find the subcategory Microsoft Windows
- Select Windows KB5034763 Or KB5034763
- Click on the button Uninstall
- Restart your PC
Once the reboot is complete, you will find yourself on the previous version of Windows. All you have to do is reinstall the latest update. For that :
- See you in Settings > Update & Security
- Click on Check for updates
- Install the latest version of Windows
