What’s new in build 25926
New Dev Channel Features
This build includes new features from the Dev Channel, such as improvements to Windows Ink, an improved screen casting experience, improvements to local file sharing (it was available on the Canary Channel flight last week), and much more.
Changes and improvements
Taskbar and system tray
- Notifications will now be displayed as a bell in the system tray and when new notifications arrive, the bell will be colored according to your system accent color. When there are no notifications and the clock is visible, the bell will be empty. Notification counts are no longer displayed.
Graphics
- Starting with build 25921, they have added options to adjust color vibrance and pop to Color Filters via Settings > Accessibility > Color Filters. Please note that there is an issue where the slider labels are missing. The first slider corresponds to “Intensity” and the second to “Color intensification”. The tags will appear as expected in a future update.
Fixed known issues
- Fixed issue that prevented devices with mobile broadband connectivity from connecting to a wireless network due to an issue where APN settings could be lost when updating to version 25921.
Snipping Tool Update
- They are starting to roll out an update to the Snipping Tool (version 11.2306.43.0 and higher) to Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels. This update introduces new buttons for edit in paint for screenshots and edit in clipchamp for screen recordings.
