Microsoft Insiders have received a new update for Windows 11. It includes many new features, including the ability to control your PC even more in the Cloud. With this feature, the Redmond firm is slowly placing its pawns for Windows 12.
What if the future of Windows was in the cloud? It is in any case a very strong possibility, Microsoft working in this direction. The latest Windows 11 update dedicated to Insiders also adds many features for Cloud PC.
These new features are not unlocked automatically, but the famous Albacore, always at the forefront of Windows news, allows us to see what awaits us. A new menu appears in system settings.
Windows 11 gives more choices for use in the cloud
These settings allow you to use your PC in the cloud in two different ways, either in full screen via the Tasks View, or windowed in the form of a dedicated application. We also note that it is possible to activate or deactivate specific features for your PC in the cloud. As a reminder, Cloud PC is available for pro subscribers to Microsoft 365 and allows access to their PC via Azure servers.

If Microsoft has not officially revealed its intentions, everything suggests that Windows 12 could turn to cloud-oriented use. Cloud PC only seems to be the first step. On the other hand, the Redmond firm has already specified that artificial intelligence will play a big role.

Windows 12 could arrive in the next few years, perhaps as early as the end of 2024. Intel has already spilled the beans on its existence, by making its new processors compatible with this still mysterious OS. As a reminder, Windows 11 was released in 2021, so Microsoft could reconnect with release cycles of three to four years for its OS.
