Microsoft is putting a lot of its efforts into improving the latest version of the operating system and convincing users to migrate. As you can imagine, we are referring to Windows 11, a software that continues to improve through updates.
With all this, what the software giant intends is to convince the majority of users to install this new version and abandon Windows 10 once and for all. We must bear in mind that this is a operating system version which will stop receiving updates in just over a year. From then on, it would become vulnerable software, so the most advisable thing at that time would be to upgrade to Windows 11.
That is precisely why the company is testing and launching new and increasingly advanced functions and features. Now we want to focus on a series of new features that have arrived to improve the use of one of the most important components of the PC, such as the mouse. And it is that on many occasions we do not give the value that corresponds to this hardware element that we use almost constantly on the computer.
So, the most recent version of the operating system for Insider users, we are talking about the update KB5041873is now available with some interesting improvements and new features. Basically, we can say that this recent update of Windows 11 adds new settings for the aforementioned mouse. All these new features are aimed at versions 22H2, 23H2 and 24H2 of the Microsoft system.
Aside from the mouse improvements we’ll talk about now, the update also fixes issues related to Wi-Fi connectivity.
How Microsoft improves mouse usage in Windows 11
Basically with this we want to tell you that Microsoft has released an update for Beta channel users, which includes some experience improvements for the mouse scrollTo give you a more concrete idea, but as we are talking, Windows 11 will now include two new options related to this component in the Settings application.
Specifically, in the Bluetooth and devices / Mouse section we will see two new options that we have the possibility to activate. First, we find a selector that improves pointer position on the screen. In turn, we find a drop-down menu that says Scroll Direction and that allows us to customize the movement of this very important element.
All this will allow us have more control over the pointer of our mouse and its handling. Although at first it may seem somewhat inconsequential compared to the improvements in other sections, it must be taken into account that the mouse is one of the hardware elements that we use the most. Any improvement in its user experience will be welcome in any case. This is something that will be effective in versions 23H2, 22H2 and 24H2 of Windows 11.
Some important fixes have also been included here in such important elements as File Explorer, Windows Defender or connectivity.
