The launch of the Windows 11 operating system by Microsoft has not been without controversy, especially due to its requirements. Since its launch, there have been innumerable problems that this operating system has had. But, it seems that Microsoft is already working on Windows 12 and this would integrate a version of ChatGPTthe Artificial Intelligence developed by OpenAI.
Microsoft in 2021 decided to launch Windows 11, an operating system that no one expected. Everything indicated that Windows 10 would be the company’s last operating system, only making updates to it. But, the launch of Intel’s new architecture has been the perfect excuse to launch a new operating system.
Rumors about a Windows 12 with integrated ChatGPT
At the moment, Microsoft is investing many millions of dollars in OpenAI, developers of ChatGPT. We even know that work is being done to integrate this artificial intelligence tool into the Bing search engine, owned by Microsoft. The idea is to create a very powerful search engine capable of competing with Google, the largest search engine in the world.
Speculation has begun about the possibility that Microsoft is developing a new operating system or is advanced in its development. Apparently they are working on Windows 12 that would integrate artificial intelligence functions. Also, I would add optimization for photos, calendar, clock, email and other tools.
We must emphasize that the rumors do not speak of Windows 12 itself, but a new version of the Windows 11 operating system. What does this mean? Well, something similar may happen with Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Really, Windows 8.1 was going to be Windows 9, but it stuck to some kind of big update to that operating system.
It’s possible that Windows 12 won’t actually be released for three years, but is some kind of gigantic update. What does seem quite likely is that integrate ChatGPT or something similar within the operating system Microsoft.
But, AI would come to Windows 11 first, integrating into Teams and Skype. Microsoft is working on adding advanced features to these video call applications and not relying on third-party tools. Features for microphone noise filtering, voice clarity enhancement, dynamic lighting adjustment, and custom background, among other features, will be implemented.
An AI would be interesting, if it is applied where it should
The reality is that Windows 11 is far from being as good an operating system as Windows 10. The problem with this new operating system is that it has been developed specifically for the new Intel processors. Many AMD users have reported performance issues due to the design of Windows 11.
On top of these problems, updates break more than they fix. The Windows 11 22H2 deployment had to be halted for a while as it contained major issues that affected proper functionality. Even Microsoft released an update to improve performance in games that, curiously, did just the opposite.
It would be nice if Microsoft added ChatGPT or a similar AI tool so that it checks for updates in depth. This would prevent any issues or defects in the updates, or at the very least, they wouldn’t be such a big problem. In the end, before adding a new feature, what exists should work fine.
