The Pixel Watch 2 should come with new metal straps, offering even more design choices for the pebble-looking watch.
As Google prepares to unveil its second generation of connected watch with the Pixel Watch 2, expected on October 4, we now know a little more about the bracelets that will accompany this new version.
The site 9to5Google has in fact got its hands on the marketing renderings of two bracelets which should be offered for Google’s second connected watch. Remember that, like the first Pixel Watch, the Pixel Watch 2 will retain the firm’s proprietary bracelet attachment system. A way to allow users to easily change the look of the digital device in the absence of any striking element on the case itself.
Two new metal bracelets
The first Pixel Watch may have been a rather small watch, but Google essentially offered relatively large bracelets, geared more towards a male audience. For its Pixel Watch 2, it seems that the manufacturer has decided to offer a much thinner metal bracelet, which will be more suitable for small wrists. This thin bracelet should be offered at least in black and should be equipped with a butterfly clasp system. A system already used for the first Pixel Watch with the metal link bracelet. For this new model, the bracelet would simply be much thinner. However, we still do not know if it will be available in brushed silver in addition to the matte black visible in the visual.

The second proposed bracelet would also be metallic and would adopt a Milanese format, with fine metal mesh. It must be said that this bracelet format was not yet offered by Google, which until now was content to market sports models (in silicone), elastic, braided nylon, leather, or with large metal links. This time, the clasp used would be magnetic to allow users to tighten the watch as much as they want on their wrist. Remember, however, that Google had already announced that it would offer such a bracelet on its first generation Pixel Watch last year – as we can see in the first image of this article – but it was ultimately never marketed.
The Pixel Watch 2 bracelets could also be compatible with the first generation of the brand’s watches. They should nevertheless be launched at the same time as the new model. In addition to the bracelets, we especially expect better performance on the Pixel Watch 2, as well as new, more precise health data.
