After launching augmented reality glasses just a few days ago, Xiaomi now surprises us with a somewhat less conventional new product: a headband with which to manage home automation devices.
It’s about the Xiaomi MiGu Headbanda product that has been conceived as a result of a program of technological projects of the company itself called ‘hackathon‘, and of which this headband was the winner.
Telepathic powers designed for your mental well-being
Despite the mystique of the matter, the truth is that there are many companies working on this type of systemsand Xiaomi has wanted to give it a more practical approach by integrating this headband with its entire ecosystem.
Its operation is based on three points where the headband can receive electrical signalsand when you put those signals together, you can establish an electroencephalogram (brain activity) so that depending on the type of brain wave, the headband can communicate with a product to perform an action on it.

Engineers are working on the machine learning so that the Xiaomi MiGu Headband processes the data more precisely, so that if we want to turn off the light in the room, the headband interprets it correctly.
Due to the high sophistication of the product, we believe that it will take a long time to launchas it needs much more development to make it marketable and compliant with government agency standards.
For all these reasons, there is no established launch window and its price is unknown, as well as whether or not it will reach markets other than China. But we are looking forward to learning more about this new, innovative and ingenious project from Xiaomi.
