IPTV is a very effective alternative to be able to watch television from any device. These are live broadcasts in which an internet connection is required to play the content. Thanks to this technology we can easily access thousands of channels on our Smart TV. For this, the ideal is to have an application that manages our IPTV lists and today we are talking about one of the most recommended apps in this regard: TiviMate.
With TiviMate we can easily access all our IPTV lists and thus have thousands of live channels. The app works with Android TV, so it will be necessary to have a television, TV-Box or HDMI dongle that incorporates this operating system.
TiviMate: installation and first steps
We can download TiviMate for free from Google Play easily. We just have to write the name of the app in the store on our television or tell the assistant with our voice (if it allows this function) and download it.
Once downloaded, the first thing it will ask us is what kind of list we want to add, be it an M3U list, a list using Xtream codes or Portal Stalker. we will select ‘M3U list’. To add the list, we can do it from a URL, or download the list in M3U format and send it to the television. In order not to be typing the URL of the list with the remote control, the most comfortable thing will be to send the file to the television. For this we can use an application such as Send Files to TV or similar.
When we have uploaded the list to the application, depending on the number of channels, it will take more or less to process. When finished, we should see all the channels listed in the guide.
The interface design is simple and effective. In the foreground we have the list with all the channels, but if we press the left direction button of the remote control we will find a side menu with multiple options. First of all we have the channel search, very effective if the channel list is long. Also, the content can be divided into TV, Movies and Recordings, although this depends on what type of content our list has. Along with this, we can save channels as favorites and find them in the ‘My list’ menu.
If we go to options, we will see that a large part of the configuration appears blocked. This is because to get the full features of the app, you will need to subscribe to the Premium plan. This plan, in addition to letting us reproduce the channel that we have searched for from the search tool, also offers us very interesting options such as the possibility of synchronizing the frequency of the panel with the framerate of the content, and more. The price is 7.99 euros per year or a single payment of 28.99 euros.
TiviMate is not the only application that allows us to play IPTV lists. Depending on our device and operating system, we have dozens of recommended options. Both Kodi and VLC are one of the most outstanding alternatives, since in addition to playing IPTV lists, they also serve to set up a whole multimedia center on our television. However, by doing a simple search in the application store of your Smart TV with the term ‘IPTV’, you will also find a good handful of recommended applications.
