Xiaomi renews its launcher in MIUI to improve user experiences

Recently, Xiaomi exhibited MIUI 14, and while the first lucky ones to use it begin to receive this new version of its operating system, the company continues to integrate improvements that will eventually reach our smartphones.

The last improvement developed focuses on the launcher of this customization layer that is MIUI. This new functionality integrates an improvement in navigation that will allow us to open applications more easily.

It should be noted that, currently, it can already be done in iOS, since we can open a search window from the home screen of the desktop that will allow us to search for the application directly. A very useful shortcut if we have many apps installed on our phone and we usually have to waste a lot of time to find the app we want to open.

New option on home screen

To open this search engine we will only have to slide down from the home screen. Just by writing three letters, a filtered list will appear with the applications that contain that pattern in their name.

This improvement now finally reaches Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones that will begin to receive it in future updates released by the brand. It is not a great innovation, but it can improve the experience of many users and we can choose whether or not we want to enable it.
