One of the great advantages we have in desktop computers is the ability to modify them as we want, and on many occasions we can see systems that have a series of high-end components in cases that are visually impressive. But there are times when this is taken to the extreme, when modding turns the creation of a PC in an art, and Cooler Master has managed to surprise us once again with Shark Xyour new computer that is, literally, shaped like a shark.
PC modding often implements a series of visual elements on the cases or chassis of a computer to make it look much more beautiful, but there are also times when we can see creations that are much stranger than we can imagine. We have seen a computer that incorporated a coffee maker inside, other models that are more based on aesthetics by offering visual elements of some of the most famous games out there, but now a one-meter-high computer arrives to surprise us all.
A very peculiar box for a high-performance PC, Cooler Master changes the concept by mixing art and technology
Creating a computer that is useful is not too complicated a task, we can find models that are already assembled with the specifications we need, and even if we buy it in parts as long as we know how to choose things a little, it will usually always work correctly. But there are also times when we may not want to look only at the performance it has, but also at the appearance, this being one of the usual factors by which we can choose one brand over another, for example the box.
Although it should be noted that currently most of the chassis that we can find on the market all follow a fairly traditional format, the tower shape as we can imagine mainly due to the fact that it is one of the best that we can find in terms of cooling and ease when installing and changing components. This does not mean that there are not completely strange developments that we can find, such as the Shark X of Cooler Masterwhich is basically a high-performance computer with a very different shape, since it is a shark.
To achieve this structure, Cooler Master has opted for a system created on a Mini-ITX motherboard, although the components are not what we expected, since for the price it has we imagined that it was going to be a construction that at least included the most powerful on the market. In this case the motherboard is a B760I DDR5 WIFI, with an Intel Core i7-14700F 2.1 GHz processor, an RTX 4070 Ti Super 16G graphics card, 2 x 32GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM and a 2TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.
This computer Normally it should be in a range of approximately €3000, but due to the shape of the box Cooler Master It sells for €7000, which makes it extremely exclusive, although we don’t know to what extent it is worth paying the extra cost to have a shark with RGB at home.
