We are still in the process of understanding the long-term implications of generative artificial intelligences, both in text and image, and we already have to deal with new versions of those engines. OpenAI has introduced GPT-4 in style, feeding its chat with several improvements.
Those responsible for GPT-4 promise a deeper understanding of the writing style we use in our petitions, as well as the ability to compose songs and write scripts. More creativity and collaboration to remove mechanical work from many more people at a time that we do not hesitate to consider historic: AI is here to stay and sooner or later it will change everyone’s life.
Welcome to multimodal AI: chatGPT-4 accepts images
Perhaps the important novelty, beyond the text, is that GPT-4 is multimodal. That means that tools like ChatGPT will be able to accept images and not just text as requests, being able to be more flexible when it comes to generating your results, which for the moment will continue to be in the form of text (to generate images we always have Stable Diffusion).
GPT-4 also gains reliability, being 82% less likely to give inappropriate answers and 40% more capable of responding factually. These answers are also simpler, more focused, eliminating the need to generate excessive texts.
At a more technical level, we know that GPT-4 has been trained from the same Microsoft server infrastructure as GPT-3.5, powered by NVIDIA A100 chips. The company has already confirmed that Bing uses ChatGPT-4 on its website, Microsoft has been testing this new engine since the beginning of the change it applied to its browser.
If you like try ChatGPT-4 today, you can try it by accessing the official artificial intelligence website from your iPhone. The problem: there is a waiting list that you must sign up for, and once you do, you will have to pay to be able to use ChatGPT Plus. The price is a subscription that, including taxes, goes up to $24.20 per month.
From the same OpenAI website you can also access a free version of ChatGPT, but it is version 3.5 and it is not always available. It depends on the load of the servers so that there is availability, and the enthusiasm of the users makes it happen in a few moments.

Another way to be able to use ChatGPT-4 is by signing up to use the new version of Bing, Microsoft’s search engine. All you have to do is go to the website and log in with a Microsoft account (a Hotmail or Outlook email) to enter a waiting list: Over time, it is to be expected that they will let you access the service, although you have to be patient: This type of artificial intelligence uses a lot of resources and the computational power necessary to cover all the demand is enormous.
