The decision affected 1,300 employees of the company. Apart from this, the CEO has also announced that he will reduce his salary by 98 per cent in the coming financial year and will not avail of his annual corporate bonus this time.
According to reports, Britannia Industries has set a target of increasing its women workforce from 41 per cent to 50 per cent by 2024. The company’s manufacturing chief Indranil Gupta said the company has 15 manufacturing plants with a workforce of over 1 lakh employees. by the company and 35 contract and franchise units in India.
