When it comes to buying an iPhone, many of us look for the best time of year to do so, because, as a general rule, Apple products aren’t particularly affordable, and any savings we can make a difference.
For this, we have different dates where prices may be somewhat cheaper, such as Black Friday, Amazon Prime Days, or even before the release of new models, although this will depend a bit on which one we want.
When to buy an iPhone: Black Friday, Prime Days, Christmas?
And the thing is, Apple has a problem, or rather, its customers do, since it’s a brand that, on certain dates like VAT-free days, a promotion run by several companies, doesn’t apply its products, so we won’t really see a discount, and we’re going to focus on the days where we can see some discounts from the company or its devices.
- Black Friday: It’s the best time of year to get a cheaper iPhone. Not only will Amazon, MediaMarkt, or PCcomponents offer discounted prices on certain models, but even Apple itself will offer deals, making it the only day of the year when they do so. However, most of the time it’s through coupons to buy other products for free or at a lower price, so if you’re not looking to spend a lot, Amazon is probably better, although it depends on what you’re looking for, as not everything will be on sale.
- Amazon Prime Days: It’s another of those times when the world’s most famous store makes very succulent offers, and where we usually see prices that they don’t even have on Black Friday, since they aim to have it in spring (normally), being a time of lower consumption, and incentivizing it.
- Before the new one comes out: Finally, August is usually a good month to buy an iPhone because the new one comes out in September, and that makes companies with a lot of stock of the previous one lower their prices, trying to get people who don’t always want the latest one to get a cheaper one.
In short, forget about the January sales, or general offers such as the VAT-free day, since Apple products do not usually apply to these, and only on the days we have mentioned will we be able to see any kind of discount, and that’s with luck, since they are not obligated either, and perhaps the only real option is Black Friday on Apple’s own website, who does it every year, and at least, even if we pay the same for an iPhone, we would get some AirPods, the case, or the fast charger for free, since they will give us a succulent voucher to continue spending in their store.
