Nothing has done it again. True to its philosophy of “making technology fun again”, Carl Pei's brand has just officially presented the Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition. We are not facing a simple color change to sell more units, but rather the final result of a massive collaborative project where the brand's own fans have made critical decisions about the hardware, design and marketing of the device.
If he Telephone (3a) The standard was already a terminal that attracted attention for its transparency and Glyph lights, this special edition takes personality to the extreme. It is a breath of fresh air in a market where all mobile phones seem the same, demonstrating that when you give your community a voice, the result can be as risky as it is fascinating.
A Bold Design: Teal and Pink Accents
The first thing that strikes you when you see the device is that it breaks with the brand's usual monochrome sobriety. He Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition wear a striking color teal that dominates the rear, but what really gives it character are the contrasts. The so-called “Essential Key” is now colored pinkand is combined with yellow accents and a silver power button, while keeping the volume control in black. It is a mix of “pop” colors that screams originality.
The customization experience goes beyond the chassis. Upon turning on the screen, users will encounter exclusive wallpapers specifically designed to blend with the exterior aesthetics of the phone. Small “Easter eggs” have also been included in the interface and a personalized clock, closing the circle of a user experience (UX) that feels, above all, coherent and pampered by fans.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and three rear cameras

On a technical level, this community edition is not just a pretty face. The heart that moves the system is the processor Snapdragon 7s Gen 3a solvent chip that ensures excellent performance for the range in which we operate. Comes in a single generous configuration of 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storagepowered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 50W charging. The screen remains at 6.77 inches with AMOLED technology and 120 Hz adaptive.
However, the biggest surprise for many has been the camera module. Unlike what we saw in series (2a), this model integrates a triple rear camera. We have a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra wide angle and, finally, a 50 MP 2x telephoto lensan addition highly requested by users that increases the photographic versatility of the terminal. Of course, getting one will be an odyssey: the units are very limited and the first physical “drop” will be in Bengaluru this December 13.
Do you think brands should let users design their phones more often or do you prefer classic industrial design?
