put your iPhone to charge and turn it to activate Standby and slide and tap on the screen to change what is shown. If you go to Settings > Standbyyou can activate or deactivate some functions such as Night Mode or if you want notifications to be displayed.
Contact Posters
Another of the new functions of iOS 17 that allows us create a contact poster for ourselves and share it with other users or directly create one for our contacts. This is a new way to personalize the call screen for our closest contacts. This is how you can create your contact poster in iOS 17:
- Enter the Contacts app.
- Above click on your card.
- Tap on Poster and contact photo.
- Tap Edit > New Poster.
- Choose your style, a photo, a Memoji or just the initials.
- If you choose a photo you can customize different styles and with a Memoji you can choose the background color.
- By tapping on the name, you can change the color and size of the letters.
- By clicking on any contact you can create your personalized poster.
Interactive widgets
This is something that You should try as soon as you install iOS 17 since it is a function that should have arrived a long time ago. Now widgets are no longer mere access to larger apps, they also offer more information They are interactive and they can touch each other.
That means you can have a widget with a list and complete it, a widget with the house lights to turn them off or on or a music widget to pause or start songs. The best of all, as always, will come when developers improve the widgets in their apps.
Create your own stickers
An iOS 17 feature that’s just great, you can convert any photo into a sticker with little effort and without having to download any app. In iOS 16, Apple added a photo background removal tool to separate the main object from any image. Now in iOS 17, when you use this feature, you can turn the separate subject or object of an image into a sticker.
Simply long press on a photo, tap Add sticker and a new keyboard menu will open where these stickers will be saved. Well, add effects to make them move or shine in different ways, as well as add a white outline. The saved stickers will appear in the emojis section of the keyboard.
Create profiles in Safari
Safari now allows you create profiles with separate saved open tabs. This new iOS 17 function will help our eyesight since when activated it will detect if we are using the iPhone too close to our eyes. You can activate it from Settings > Screen time > Screen distance.
To help reduce eye strain and the risk of developing myopia in children, the “Screen Distance” feature will alert you when you have been holding an iPhone or iPad with Face ID too close to your eyes for too long.
