It may be that we need to solve a problem that has occurred in Windows 11 configurationbut we can’t find out what it is, we only know that the behavior is not what it should have.
Whenever problems like this occur, the first thing we all do is Restart your computer hoping that the problem was punctual and only occurred at that time. because some part has been loaded incorrectly or because there has been a failure that can only be attributed to a specific moment.
The bad thing is that, if we start the computer again and we find the same problem, then it is when we start to worry, since the incidence has become permanent, something that is more scary.
Good thing we have various methods to restore the settings of Windows 11 and thus get rid of this bug that is not causing so many “headaches”.
The fastest way to reset the Windows Settings app is through the search menu. So, let’s start with that.
To reset the Windows 11 Settings app with the search menu:
- We click on the magnifying glass icon on the taskbar or use the keys Win+X
- We wrote Setting in the search box.
- Select option apps and then Application Settings in the right pane.
- We scroll down to the section Restore and click the Reset button.
- select reset again to confirm.
This is an option that does not appear in all Windows 11 operating systems, something that seems to have to do with the areas where each computer is.
Apparently it is not a faculty that is implemented in the configuration itself in all regions. Even so, you should not worry, since you still have two ways to perform this task.
Using Powershell
We will also be able to use PowerShell to reset the Windows configuration application.
To do this, you just have to follow the following steps:
- We click on the search icon on the taskbar to open the search menu.
- We wrote Windows PowerShell in the search box.
- we select Execute as an administrator On the right side.
- When the message appears User Account Control (UAC)we must give Yeah to continue.
- Now that we’re in PowerShell it’s time to type the following command and press Enter to reset the Settings app: Get-AppxPackage *Windows.ImmersiveControlPanel* | reset-appxpackage
Using Command Prompt
The third option that we present to you is to restore the configuration of windows via Command Prompt.
The way to do it is very similar to the previous method, since resetting the settings application through the Command Prompt will only require running one command.
This is what we should do:
- We write in the taskbar Command Prompt.
- Then, when you identify it, you have to press where it says Execute as an administrator.
- In it User Account Control (UAC)we must give Yeah to continue.
- It is time to write the following command and when we finish press Enter for it to take effect: PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command “& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage *immersivecontrolpanel*).InstallLocation + ‘\AppxManifest.xml’ ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}”
Once executed, Windows will restore the configuration application on our computer.
It does not matter which method we use, since it will not take us any time to achieve it, making the configuration of our operating system is restored and thus we can be solving a problem that we could have with this part of Windows 11.
